There are many different types of materials that can be printed on by Citizen printers, ranging from paper labels to metalised plates and polyethylene tags.

Citizen strongly recommends that, especially in critical applications, the ribbon selected is tested with the exact material to be used and that the scratch resistance and image quality is approved first. The list should be used as a guideline only.

Ribbon Types: Standard, Blend and Resin

STANDARD

a wax-based ribbon for standard, high speed, high volume printing on to labels, tags and normal vellum media.

BLEND

our wax/resin blended ribbon, (resin-enhanced wax), gives the best performance on a wide variety of materials from standard labels to PET.

RESIN

for the ultimate performance on specialist media or for high chemical and scratch resistant prints.
