The uSign 300 by ID Tech is an electronic signature capture device featuring a color LCD display, enabling users to observe their signatures in real-time as they sign. The graphic display facilitates interactive text and pen-tap selection, empowering customers to choose and navigate transactions using the stylus. Furthermore, the color LCD has the capability to showcase company logos, promotions, and custom graphics, adding a visually dynamic element to the signing experience.

The practice of electronically capturing signatures is widespread for authorizing payments in Point of Sale (POS) applications. Electronic signatures play a crucial role in reducing transaction time, eliminating the need for sorting and physically sending paper, offering convenient electronic storage and transmission, and ensuring legal accountability (non-repudiation) in POS transactions. These applications span various sectors, including retail, hospitality, self-service, and quick-service restaurants.

The durable plastic casing encases both the LCD and touch-sensitive screen of the uSign™ 300. Within this casing, there is a non-electronic stylus attached by a tether. To secure the device to a desk or counter, a metal mounting plate is employed. Additionally, a palm rest area located beneath the signature panel offers support, contributing to a more comfortable and straightforward signing process.
