Signature Capture Pad

ID Tech has unveiled uSign™ 200, a device designed for capturing electronic signatures that comes equipped with a graphical LCD display. Users have the ability to observe their signatures in real-time while going through the signing process. The interactive text and pen-tap function selection on the graphic display enable customers to choose and navigate transactions using the stylus. The captured signatures are compressed and then sent to a host system for storage of both the signature and associated data.

The adoption of electronically captured signatures is widespread in Point of Service (POS) applications. Utilizing electronic signatures in POS transactions decreases transaction time, eliminates the need for sorting and sending paper, offers convenient electronic storage and transmission, and ensures legal accountability (nonrepudiation). POS applications encompass various sectors such as retail, hospitality, self-service, and quick-service restaurants.

The durable plastic casing encloses both the LCD and touch-sensitive screen. Within the case, there is a non-electronic stylus attached by a tether. To secure the uSign™ 200, a metal mounting plate is utilized to affix the case to a desk or counter. Additionally, a palm rest area beneath the signature panel is incorporated to offer support, facilitating an easier signing process.
