Fanfold labels can be used in both desktop and industrial printers by placing the labels behind the printer. These labels are meant to fold where there is a perforation, so they will re-stack after printing. Fanfold labels provide more labels per stack than if you were to use roll labels in either a 1" Core and/or a 3" Core ID.
