Product Description

The most flexible traditional verifier from RJS, the RJS Inspector D4000 Laser Gun scanner is an extremely easy to use point-and-shoot verifier. It requires virtually no user training and analyzes most of the essential traditional verification parameters. It also provides the ISO/ANSI method decodability calculation and percent of decode information. Features of this unit include:

  • Dual Modes, including Decodability Only Mode operation (with a Laser Gun scanner) and an optional ISO/ANSI Mode (with an Auto-Optic scanner)
  • Auto-discrimination between all popular symbologies
  • Multiple-scan averaging
  • Traditional analysis also provided
  • Follows the ISO15416 and ANSI X3.182 Bar Code Inspection Method (Decodability only)
  • Point-and-shoot scanning
  • Battery charger and NiCad batteries included

This truly unique and powerful instrument is also easy to use, and all popular linear symbologies are supported. Store and print capability, multiple scan averaging and sub-symbology choices are easily accessed through a simple four-button user interface. Analysis information appears immediately on a 32-character alphanumeric LCD display, and a distinct audible tone and a series of five colored LEDs indicate whether a bar code is in or out of specification.

In addition to ISO/ANSI Decodability, traditional analysis parameters are provided on the LCD without a special mode setting.

Laser Gun Mode Operation

A D4000 Laser Gun scanner is an extremely easy to use point-and-shoot verifier. It requires virtually no user training and analyzes most of the essential traditional verification parameters. It also provides the ISO/ANSI method decodability calculation and percent of decode information.

ISO/ANSI Mode Operation (Optional)

A D4000 Auto-Optic scanner is the industry’s most flexible ISO/ANSI method verifier. Key features include a patented Auto-Optic scan head that allows for eight optical arrangements set-able via menu selections for four aperture sizes and two wavelengths of light. Repeatability between units is outstanding, making the D4000 an ideal choice for a standardized company-wide ISO/ANSI method verifier.

If needed, a detailed hard copy printout can be produced from the Inspector D4000 using an optional direct thermal or thermal transfer printer. Inspection data can also be transferred to any Windows PC. Once transferred the inspection data can be saved or printed to any standard Window printer.

NOTE: The Inspector D4000 meets the International Organization for Standardization’s “Bar Code Print Quality Test Specification (ISO 15416), the American National Standard Institute’s “Guideline for Bar Code Quality’ (ANSI X3.182-1990), the Uniform Code Council (UCC), and the CEN specifications regarding the decodability calculation method. It does NOT meet the International Organization for Standardization’s “Bar Code Verifier Conformance Specification” (ISO 15426-1), since only one parameter is tested. Use the D4000 Auto-Optic for full ISO/ANSI verification to ISO 15426-1 standards.
