Triggering an action can be accomplished by using a WebRelay Switch. This device connects multiple readers together so when they receive and RFID signal from a tag they will activate a Signal Light. Web Controlled Relay Enclosure

The enclosure pictured here was installed on the inside wall of a loading dock. While not in direct weather, it provides a safe, dust free environment for the device and a mounting base for a signal light.
